Jammu to get free 9 Wi-Fi Zones soon starting from 15th of April this year. This thing became possible just because of the AAPs (Aam Admi Party`s) promise of giving free internet access. Aam Admi Party`s election time promise of free Wi-Fi zones in New Delhi seem to have caught up with the private telecom operators that are agreed yesterday to provide free 9 Wi-Fi zones at different places in Jammu City.
According to the statement given by AAPs Senior Media Representative said, "We have managed to agree 3 Private Telecom Operators to provide free Wi-Fi Service in the city commencing from the coming 15th of April. Reliance, Aircel and Bhartiya Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) are the three telecom operators that are agreed to provide the fast 3G Wi-Fi service in the city"
Party is targeting 27 cities in India where they will provide the free Wi-Fi services. Now, the thing to cherish is that Our own city, The City of Temples, Jammu City is also getting free Wi-Fi services at different places in the city. The program will be first launched as a pilot program for a tenure of 6 months and there after if the program gets successful then it will be extended for a year and then will be carried out for many years.

As far as the locations are confirmed, only those 9 locations were chosen by the party where there is a huge number of visitors and also a huge community of students. The main motto of providing free internet service is just to make people use of it like the students to use it for educational purposes. All the people can use free Wi-Fi service only requirement is to have a smartphone that can access Wi-Fi networks. The speed of the internet will be 2.56 MBPS. The areas selected for free Wi-Fi zones are as follows: -
- Gandhi Nagar, Gole Market.
- Trikuta Nagar, Main Market.
- Kunjwani By Pass to Satwari Chowk.
- Bari Brahmna SIDCO.
- Bikram Chowk to Jammu University (Including MAM College and Polytechnic College).
- Jewel Chowk to Ambphalla (Including, GGM Science, SPMR, GDC College)
- Samba SIDCO.
- Parade.
- Talab Tillo.
To use the free internet, all you have to do is Register yourself with your telecom operator by sending a simple Toll Free SMS that we will tell you below. You will be charged a sum of Rs 15/- for the first 6 Months and then after you will be charged Rs 50/- for 1 Year. You can Download unlimited things from the internet.
